Rapper Travis Scott arrested in Miami

Travis Scott was detained under his real name, Jacques Bermon Webster

Travis Scott has been captured in Miami on doubt of tumultuous inebriation and intruding over a contention on a boat in the early long stretches of Thursday. According to official records, the police detained the American rapper at the Miami Beach Marina around 01:45 local time.

BBC Newsbeat obtained an arrest report from the Miami Beach Police Department that states that officers were dispatched in response to reports of fighting on a yacht. According to the Miami-Dade County Corrections Department's website, the 33-year-old man was detained as Jacques Bermon Webster. Police were called to reports of an unsettling influence on a yacht and saw Travis Scott yelling at individuals on the vessel. The rapper could "sense a strong smell of alcohol" on his breath, according to the officers who spoke with him. They told him to leave the dock, and he did, but he "walked backwards yelling obscenities to the occupants of the vessel," according to the report.

The report says that Scott then left the area, but officers saw him come back five minutes later and try to get back to the yacht.

According to the police, when he was questioned, he "disregarded officers' commands" and became "erratic," yelling and causing residents of the area to be disturbed.

The report states that "the defendant later admitted that he had been drinking alcohol and stated:" following his arrest. It's Miami'."

Travis Scott is one of the most well-known hip-hop artists in the world and has been nominated for ten Grammy Awards. He has two children with Kylie Jenner, with whom he was previously in a relationship.

His European tour is scheduled to begin on June 28 in the Netherlands, with performances in London and Manchester's Co-Op Live venue on July 13. At Scott's Astroworld festival in Houston, Texas, in 2021, a crowd surge resulted in the deaths of ten fans. He was not put on trial for their deaths, but he is still involved in civil cases that say the organizers were to blame.

Last year he scored his most memorable UK number one collection with Perfect world, which was delivered seven days after an arranged show before Egypt's pyramids was dropped.
